Re: Removing the Level XP Cap

The level 3 character can still play a good role in a story with other level 8 characters. Well, provided it's not fighting off demons... Broadly agree though. As mentioned on Discord, my general opinion would be to see RPXP at a minimal amount (1xp/hour was bounced around as a hypothetical), remov...

Lost in the Wilds

He crossed one foot over his knee and wrapped his hands behind his neck as a cushion, swinging back onto the two legs of the chair. Glancing about the small standing room of the Shanty at his companions, he gave a small smile. A dishonoured knight, a falconer turned huntress, the stoic northman, and...

Re: PRC Reworks

Can't say I'm any good with the mechanics at all so I can't add any real suggestions. That being said, increasing the power of evil PrCs sounds like a fantastic idea! More villains is more fun!

On a scale of 1-10, how tasty were your neighbours?

On topic, this really drives home how much we take modern comforts for granted. I have a sudden urge for a camping weekend.

Re: Adventuring - Permadeath

Fair point, Vog. :) I guess I just find it more believable to see a PC actually make a mistake beyond just saying it happened via emotes, particularly as there are more obvious consequences as a result. As an aside, it has been mentioned about PCs having stories to finish before retiring. Is it crue...

Re: Adventuring - Permadeath

Emotes are great. I agree. But they're supplementary to a character's action mechanically. We make our cowardly PCs hide behind corners or run into battle last, also disadvantageous for a team, so I've no problem putting my PC in a low risk situation thats disadvantageous to my PC for the same reaso...

Re: Making money as a bard

I am wholeheartedly against implementing special changes for bards on @work or any other mechanical system. As mentioned earlier, Sarshel isn't prosperous. Commoners that would tip a bard for their music aren't likely to own a couple of balance to spend on a musician, and that's how I've always imag...
