My personal feeling is that it would feel better for the cost itself to be reduced to be a smaller fee that accumulates with every stat point lost ... I also like this suggestion a lot. Flat out lowering the cost of restoration or allowing PCs to fix one lost stat at a time has been suggested befor...

I really don't understand this post. I don't think it would be unrealistic for Lev to earn 1 balan in the time it takes for what should be an uncommon event while your respawn timer is less than a week. Lev is level 6, this suggestion is about down scaling the costs of Raise Dead for lower level PC...

Just to clarify, the suggestion here is to change the way stat loss is applied. Not to change the costs of it. If the way stat loss is applied is adjusted, I believe stat loss will be a lot more manageable. And the sense of urgency to fix stat losses should decrease a little, as per the original vis...
