Re: Rogues: No sense motive?

I believe it's a delicate balance between giving classes too many available skills and too few, but I've always been of the mind that giving characters access to social skills is never, ever a bad thing. Points spent in knowledges and social skills round out characters, and for most (even for rogues...

Re: Variable Tier Healing Kits

I actually wouldn't mind it being a little more available than potions, if maybe not quite -as- good, at least as cost efficient. Potions are what takes away from divine healers, are an an immediate health boost in an emergency, and at the level they're being used, make little enough sense compared ...

Re: Variable Tier Healing Kits

I'm really fond of the idea, I had the exact same thought when I ran across your character. Kits are expensive one use things that can be certainly worth it with the right skill on average, but usually are just last-resort emergencies. If a mundane no-magic kit can heal 20+ hp, there's no reason, in...

Re: A Dead Mongrel

The new hound seems to have found a friend, or at least a concerned passing eye. Someone had the patience to coax the dog into a bath and to start seeing to the mange it carried, offering it regular morsels besides. The health of the dog, in winter even, seemed to grow. The dirt of the streets could...

Re: 'Epic' feats

There are a lot of good ideas in this thread for how to continue advancement and give characters more mechanical growth, even when they hit their cap. Clearly, as TER's level cap is at a relatively low level, it isn't terribly difficult to get there. I believe that the current rate (at least among s...

Re: Loot System - Tweaks

My only experience with inordinate loot has been in one dungeon: the Kuo-Tao near Sarshel. When played with two characters, a balan each was made, but the healing cost was very high and both characters were downed at one point or another. It was hard-won, and while a lot, I don't feel it's too extre...

Re: The AFK Thread

I'm likely going to be getting hit with a lot of work these next couple of weeks, ~100 hours a week give or take, until a couple deadlines are met. Given that, I expect to be pretty sparse, especially around Euro times. I'll be available enough for forum posts, if anyone wants to help keep me sane t...
