This song is close to my heart, and so is the language used in it, Gaeilge; Irish has always fascinated me, for it's a beautiful tongue that grew on me during the few years in which I lived in one of Ireland's Gaeltacht communities, and so thanks to the melancholy and nostalgia that today has brought once more, Clannad sometimes inspires me just as much as it saddens me;

The 30th of November marks the passing of a dear friend of mine who introduced me not only to this incredible song, but also to the most important hobbies of my life, including roleplaying. To this day, her influence in my RP and literature can be seen in myriad, significant ways, and it is likely that without her I wouldn't be the writer that I am today, nor would I find myself in TER for that matter - as such, I thought it befitting to share both this gorgeous piece and its meaning to me. I hope some of you may find inspiration of your own in it, and if not, then simply enjoyment in its Celtic beauty.

"I will go east and go west,
From whence came the moon and the sun.

The moon and the sun will go,
And the young man with his reputation behind him.

I will go wherever he came from,
The young man with his reputation behind him."

Beautiful songs posted before me.

It's time you all listen to some Iron Maiden. While I share the song for its own merit, it might also suit Hjalmar Godefroy from TER's characters.

Iron Maiden - Clansman
Plays:
Artemis D'Assanthe, Dawnmaster
Udhana, the Kinless
Dhovainithil, Silver Elf
Jhasira of the Bai Kabor, Dawnbringer (deceased)

The below song is one I have discovered a week ago and have been listening to it since. Besides the possible real life application of it, it suits my main character - or perhaps some others - very well at present also.

I hope you might enjoy it:

Karmina - All the King's Horses

I knock the ice from my bones
Try not to feel the cold
Caught in the thought of that time
When everything was fine, everything was mine
Everything was fine, everything was mine.

All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put me back together again
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put me back together again...
Plays:
Artemis D'Assanthe, Dawnmaster
Udhana, the Kinless
Dhovainithil, Silver Elf
Jhasira of the Bai Kabor, Dawnbringer (deceased)

A little belated perhaps, but I think this one is a good fit for the recent demonic struggles in Impiltur and its aftermath.

In English it's 'my heart burns' and it's about childrens nightmares. Demons included. Also the clip is sufficiently creepy.

I'll forego my usual preaching about the music I share here and be quick about it as a lovely atmosphere is building up serverside for Merney Valroc's trial! Yet for all those gathered at the gates, I was reminded of a wonderful piece of music from an old PS1 game I loved for many years and still do. Melancholic and urban: hope you like it too!
