Sarshel - Triadic Rite

Postby Copper Dragon » Sun Apr 23, 2017 2:15 pm

The skies were sundered nearly a year ago, leaving the Temple of the Triad - the divine heart of Sarshel - in ash, ruins and dark.

It has been with the defeat of the Daemon Prince, His Name Too Maddening to Bear, that the Temple could be brushed truly and with finality clean of the otherworldly curse that had cracked its tall, strong walls. It took the initiative of the now high priestess, Mother Kelda Adler, to heal wounds so terrible only the Ilmatari could hope to undo.

Indeed, most open Triadic activity in Sarshel was of the Ilmatari branch the past months; his merciful missionaries spread compassion and soothed the ailing now that the battles were over. Among those who dub themselves Adventurers, it was the Ilmatari also that was most actively seen lending a hand. The Temple halls remained quiet in a solemn gathering of strength; silence reigned here, and some say that silence was what fit best in the wake of the esteemed Tyrran priest, Cammor Deshmrik's, self-sacrifice for the reconsecration.

But on the 22nd of Tarsakh, the broad hall was silent no more.

A Solemn Sword of Tyr - a priest of notable rank - Estach Turvil has come to hold one of the traditional monthly rites of the Tyrran faith, called The Blinding. A prayer was held in the ruined, dust-filled hall of the temple, commemorating the sacrifice that the Just Father had suffered, and the folly that mortals' blindness to the evil underneath their nose brought them. Grim was this sermon, but among the warnings were a dozen firm praises for those who stood in the path of darkness - and thwarted it. Some say the god-servant's speech even lit a light in the eyes of the cracked statue behind him.

The ceremony was held in Easting, and to it, Mother Kelda Adler, Sister Cassandra, Alorn Jerek Adler and local Triadic representatives were invited, even if it all occurred on short notice. Any others who were interested in attending, could.

Perhaps the lawbringer faith would no longer tolerate being called "The Third among Three". Perhaps the Tyrrans were ready to pick up the torch again side by side with their Ilmatari siblings. Whatever priest Turvil's aim was, it could have marked the re-emergence of a dormant faith in the city.
Plays:

Mother Kelda Adler gladly obliges the invitation with due respect and, perhaps a surprising amount of enthusiasm. She seems warmed and hopeful at the sight of the Tyrran, and extends an invitation of her own to the man after prayer is completed--to her home, a dinner with her husband and family. It has been an open mandate among the Ilmateri, and indeed among the Triad as a whole, Kelda's instructions that each of the churches aids in the restoration of its allies, with the bulk of the efforts directed towards Torm and Tyr. Her message to this wandering Sword of Tyr seems clear: he is welcome, and surely needed.

Cassandra gladly particiapted to the event as well with her usual enthousiast and peaceful attitude, even if unfortunately her lack of knowledge about the Easting language surely prevented her to understand clearly what was told in the sermon, considering she gets one word on three, but surely she understood how grim and determined it was.
After the cerimony, she'd introduce herself to the Tyrrian, entertaining him in a conversation about faith and cooperation between members of the Triad, something she strongly believes in and tried to enforce since she arrived here in Impiltur months ago. She'd also offer her help to Sir Turvil if he needed anything during his time in Sarshel.
