[Kilaana's note: Permission was given by Toros, Jerek Adler's player, to use this retired character who has been converted into NPC status, in this quest. Cassandra, who is played by Astral Fire, will be present according to availability. In the event she is unable to attend, the Church shall summon another representative.

All other playable divine characters are free to participate and lend their services to the noble cause!]

The imposing figure of the Butcher of Vlasta, clad in his customary red on black suit of worn steel and the telltale, magical wrist bindings of a past that would haunt him for years to come, tarried in the main square of Sarshel, where he had stood many a time before; only this time his attention rested upon a distributed flyer that had found its way into his grasp by the way of wayward wind. No words came, no speech of unity in a time of strife; no waxing of morals or oaths of old that were to be maintained. He had always been a man of pragmatism, and this day was no different; the hedge knight answered once again to the call of duty not with words but with action, seen departing at once to Sarshel's outlying stables, in what appeared to be preparation for what was to come.

The wee halfling (not to be underestimated by her stature) held the scribe-copied and distributed flyer in a gloved palm. Mundane brown eyes that shone with increasing excitement careened left-to-right until the last rune was read. A grin flared up from the small adventurer as she pondered the opportunity and voiced aloud to herself, "Cold iron weaponry..? Stealthy reconnaissance..? Helping out the Dwarven kin? HA! The Gods must have hand-crafted this mission for me." Ginny carefully folded the parchment up before striding out of the gray and drab of Sarshal proper towards a familiar homestead. She had a mission to sell, and she had an inkling of whom just might buy into it.

((Please note: Due to Cassandra's character retirement into NPC status, the Triadic Church will be sending Anton alongside Jerek, instead of Cassandra. See above post for update.))

A parchment is soon hung out at the base of Sarshel Elethlim's statue in the city gate square. It bears a rich, rose-pink coloured wax seal, along with a lavish yellow-gold ribbon; fine signatures that were usually reserved these days for letters, contracts and essays under the hands of entrepeneurs and guildmasters. But not today.
Take Heed, Friends and Adventurers,

The cause brought to light by Clan Oridak, ally to Impiltur's Crown, is noble and dire.
Should no evil rear its head closer-still to your homes, the Morninglord's steel will join this missive,
and may His blessings and light go with us where light is contested.
Whether your swordarm is still strong or has grown weaker in complacency and peace,
your presence will be welcome, so long as your resolve is bright.

Those who tread the wilds quickly and undetected, I call on your support, as you will be vital to see this missive through.

Indomitable with you by our side,
Artemis D'Assanthe, Dawnmaster of the Halls of Prosperity.
OOC: Will try to make it.

The dawn's light on Artemis' parchment reveals an addition, made at some point during the night, of an artfully drawn black cat curled up along the bottom of the parchment, with nothing but two bright yellow eyes to distract from the dark form. A few folk were heard to mutter that those eyes blinked and followed them around the Square, but those folk were surely the ones that had spent a bit too long in the Star that night?
