In defense of a glade.

The druid-shaman steps into the peaceful glade near Sershal. His perpetual bare feet, calloused and hard suddenly feel the jab of a sharp pain. The man's stoic nature shows barely twitches a flinch, however... leaning on the butt of his spear, he lifts his foot to see the offending object... a rusty nail

Plucking the revolting thing from his foot and speaking a few words of spirit-healing, his nostrils flair... what is that... smell... collecting the rusty nail in a small oil-pouch... the scent is now pervasive throught the otherwise harmonious glade. The offending odor.. human waste... Several piles of it scattered around the glade... Humans as animals of course this is quite a natural thing.. Humans have waste too.. but the capacity for reason and the understanding of basic hygiene prevalent to sentient races leads to only one conclusion... Intentionally befouling of the glade.

The shaman's ire now erupts into a rage as he speeds about the glade, scooping up the many occurrences.. and discovering soiled rags.. clearly what the perpetrator used .. as well as more wasted scattered around the campsite this Shaman is known to frequent... the closest thing he has to what someone might call "home."

Armed with anger of such a personalized assault on this place... there is only one concluding thought. Must find help... Must keep people out... His thoughts begin to wander of who, among his friends could help... Hmm.. "Bigtooth" ... no Bigtooth would just go eat the nearby cattle... Bearbeak? mm.. no.. Bearbeak would just go eat the nearby farmers... hmm... Snarler... yes.. Snarler would be perfect.

And.. Snarler is a black bear... an omnivore... and would very much enjoy his time in the Glade.. and would not pester the nearby farms.. and... would send a clear signal to any who misuse the glade... "This Place Is Protected."

In a determined march, the shaman makes his way for the nearby Wilds... to go ask the help from his friend, Snarler.

An hour later, the shaman appears back at the glade with Snarler.. the black bear of the North Edge of the Easting Wilds. Snarler immediately takes to the glade.

As the Druid-Shaman turns to leave.. another sharp jab in his foot... this time.. Broken Glass... "Yes," the shaman thinks to himself... "Those who disrespect nature will pay.. dearly."

The old guardian of the Glade, Eldarion, would return after a few days of travel from Filur. At the sight of his befouled glade, his anger would almost bring him on the brink of shapeshifting into his feral animal form. Only the wooden ring at his hand and his centuries-trained self-control would allow him not to fall into the ferocity of the beastly form. Already once he did that mistake and and remained trapped for almost two years in the animal body to protect the Glade, with instinct completely taking over. No, this time he'd not do that mistake. As first thing he'd approach the ancient oak at the center of the glade, sitting in front of it and trying to commune with the dryad inside who was supposed to close the branches of the Glade to intruders
