The first page:
Warm red sun, color splendid,
Has the day begun or ended?
Sweet red flower brings blush to cheeks,
Twixt crimson sheets, climbing peaks
Soft red hair, blessed of Sune,
Gentle lips in darkened room
Reddened skin, flushed with pleasure,
Silken cord a lover's tether
As red fruit ripens ‘neith harvest moon,
Does treasure grow in ruby womb
Too much red from life can seep,
The faithful pray, and lovers weep
Standing o'er cold funeral stone,
In a crowd, yet still alone.
Happiness is not an event,
But in how a life can be spent
Love can hurt in loss, tis true,
But their greatest joy was you
With bright red eyes, from recent sorrow,
Know sanguine light begins tomorrow
