The Easting Reach

I misspelled my new PC's name by one character and thought I could live with it, but slowly and surely it is getting to me. I have a nasty feeling that this is not something it is possible to change after character creation because doing so can wreak havoc with the server's PC record keeping. Dear DM's, am I forever doomed?
