Alone in the Tower, For Now.

Rumor has passed that Averyn may not be seen around the public of Sarshel over the week...
____

It was snowing, the chill even caught through the building. Ice formed on the windows, a coldness held onto the very structure.
A flicker of light, the darkness began to abide for the spell. The touch of his coat, it seem to radiate a pale light as he entered the large fort just beyond the graveyard on the road to Vlasta.

" Damn winter," He muttered as he held his coat tightly against him.

" Mrowr?" The cat snickered at the man as they walked into the rounded base of the tower.

Averyn didn't respond to the teasing, he took his time and took to the flint and steel. With a proper guidance and a measure of time, he created a fire in the middle. Warmth soon began to radiate, although it was a slow warmth and he gathered wood to make sure it stayed. The small, fluffy, black and white cat nestled near the fire as he went about his business. " Certainly we were provided with the material, this will work well for the plan." He mused again with himself, casting a wrapped branch to the sconces about the hall, the darkness of the hall slowly being averted. Perhaps preparation for the events to come.

Work had to be done, but just to be sure, this would be enough for now as he created the small base for himself and the future. Although, he had to make sure to lock the door behind him. A lock was needed, first. While he may have headded back for Sarshel ocassionally, he left his children to the friendly home that they had known in the Crowning Glory, Mr. Klenthur was always kind and provided for him. Averyn would need to pay him back triple fold once more, but perhaps they would not need to stay there for much further. Averyn hoped for that day, hoped it would arrive soon.

He worked himself up the tower, the barracks in disarray, most of the furniture broken or salvaged. Everything was still unlocked, more locks would be needed. Sconces were broken, but enough were there to give some light to the level. He kept only a few lit, not wanting to attracted too much attention from afar. Slipping inside a side room, he found the single commander's corner and chose, that it would be best to set himself here for the moment, unrolling his camping equipment. He would need to set the fireplace aflame and bring the cat up there.

It was enough for the evening, the work would begin tomorrow. His presence needed to be felt there though, in some unwaking way.

Locks, he had procured the locks, but that would stand little without the reinforcement that the fort so needed. He was idle for the moment, missed his family, wanted to simply go back to them, forget about all of this. Yet, he could not. He was passionate about this, his home town just beyond the grasp of the wild and the bog that sullied it's roots. He needed to do more, he wanted to do more. His small base camp was secure for the moment, but that would stand little in time.

He began to move once more, away from the tower, but towards the town of Vlasta and then back to Sarshel, the roads would still be dangerous as he protested. Yet, he would do it for the sake of others. Lord Sulyim Nassour would be his first visitation, he moved to acquire audience with him, concerning the tower beyond Outentown, which he believed would keep more safe. His plan was to move him towards the funding of his venture.

Then he would move towards the Lord of Vlasta, believing that the lord could benefit with a stronger trade route from Sarshel to Vlasta. The economy had weakened, but there was still time to rebirth it. Still time to rebuild everything. At least, as Averyn thought. Surely, there are those that would benefit from this path and he was willing to pay the toll for it. Even if that would not work, even if the lords had other things to invest him, it could not hurt to secure permissions and then seek out the funding, via lenders or merchants. He needed to see it done, it was just one step into his plan. Locks for it, just needed to be secured.

It had come sooner than he expected, the young woman Ella would have served as a gateway for him. Allowing him more free movement to roam and hire her friends for the tasks. It was a good day and before he met with the lords, he would have on his roster; Bors, Elena Balakov, Maera Thlantyr, Murdock, Baalon Drosc, Anton and Kaytl Ambroden. Clearly capable in numbers and perhaps fighting spirit to get the task done and to show his organizational skills to the lords in question.
