I find myself tabbing out a lot to check references, spelling and otherwise.
When I click back or even use Alt + Tab, my game thinks I click somewhere and that can lead to random running.
I've seen other server use a "lock" function where the character at a command is instantly locked into place.
No clicking, casting or any other action is even possible in this state until you write the appropriate command to unlock or unfreeze.
Would this be difficult to implement?
A "Lock" command
Re: A "Lock" command
We have a similar AFK command, though that comes with a visual effect. So, no, I don't think it'll be difficult to implement, and might be a good idea.

Re: A "Lock" command
There's an easy way to prevent that, WoS. Just examine an item or press ESC before Alt + Tab, that way no command will be queued when you Tab back into the game window.
Re: A "Lock" command
Or we could all just do that.

Re: A "Lock" command
That doesn't solve accidental miss-clicks and I, like many others play in windowed mode.
Which means I would like to be able to see what's happening in the conversation window while I am looking at another thing out of the game.
I know there are plenty of other people who would love this implemented, if it's not too much a bother.

I like the idea myself. I've wished for it many a time.
Re: A "Lock" command
I certainly wouldn't mind this, as I am prone to a lot of alt-tabbing!
Re: A "Lock" command
Would appreciate this too.

While the code monkeys are at it can they paste NWN into Vulkan and maybe add some borderless windowed functionality?
