Player Storage vs. Player Housing

I was hoping that I could have my Paladin, Mercuria Trueheart, for her service to the Temple of the Triad, be able to get some storage there to keep extra weapons and armour. The idea being that in Mercuria's travels as she comes upon upgrades to her own equipment, she is able to store her previous armours, rather than ditch them (in particular the ARMOURS because she uses her armor as her "uniform" for @work, it turns it PLOT, which means no NPC would purchase it anyway, and so it either has to be given away, or thrown away.

In a perfect world, there would be more players logging in during the times I am online with Mercuria... and she could recruit lower level characters to join her on her patrols... and she would supply these volunteers' with specific armor and weapons to use on said patrols... but that means storing them... but I don't have any intention of having Mercuria 'own' a house or apartment. She is still an acolyte in the temple, volunteering to work under Mother Kelda in the infirmary when not adventur... i mean.. patrolling.

I have been using the rent-able lockers so far when needed, but Mercuria is not very wealthy, she gives away most of her coin. I'd hate to accidentally go to open the locker and not have the silver in her pocket to pay the rent on the locker and lose all her stuff.

Anyhow, yeah, is it possible to get a hookup with like.. a lockable armor rack or something with a persistent inventory over near where the Warswords train in the back of the Triadic Temple ?

Any developments on the above subject?

I am thinking about securing persistent storage in the Cabin in the Silverwoods for my Ranger, Rain, as well... if that is an option...

...this is in addition to the above question about Mercuria and some persistent storage as part of the Temple as described.

First of all, I am not a member of the team here, but allow me to think out loud.

I think if you look for a storage container which is accessibly for your PC only that for DM's it will be considered as 'PC housing'. Even if the door of said building is open to everyone. For that I'd suggest you go down the road of this topic.

Now if you are suggesting a community container for all (with all it's ugly downsides and disadvantages) then this is still an interesting point. I think you need to make a distinction between these two so that is at least clear for the team. To me it seems you're aiming for the locked option for Mercuria and you probably want the same for Sevin, but maybe you want something else for him than for her. I don't know.

Kriv, I've brought the idea up with the team. I like it personally. We'll see where it goes from here and hopefully not forget to respond. Sorry its taken so long for one of us to get back to you, I'm really bad about checking the forums! Sorry!

Yes, we could look into locker options for Temple acolytes. Will look into it as soon as possible.

Maybe this could be done similar to a player-house, but not treated like a 'player house' in that maybe there is a locked door somewhere at the rear of the temple that grants access to communal barracks living. That access to the area is limited to individuals who have a 'key' but given the nature of the paladin/alcolyte training, the storage itself is not 'secure' so to speak, but simply a storage chest with one's name on it, but the same 'key' that opens the area also opens every container and it is up to the individuals and the code of honor to stay out of other people's things.

Meanwhile, the greater entrance to the communal area would be secure from people wandering into it off the street.
